Description
It starts from a simple observation: enthusiasm for cars does not switch off when you get out of the seat. This clock takes the design of a sporty alloy wheel — spokes, barrel, the gaps between them — and puts it on your wall.
It is 3D printed layer by layer, so the spokes have the real depth of a wheel rather than the flat profile of something printed on a panel. The movement is quartz and silent: you will not hear it ticking while you work or watch a film.
Three diameters, and they are not the same thing
At 8″ (20 cm) it is a detail: it sits on a shelf or beside the monitor. At 14″ (35 cm) it is the object you notice walking into the room. At 17″ (43 cm) it is the piece that defines the wall, and it wants distance to be appreciated.
The colour of the hands
Black to let them disappear into the wheel, orange to echo our own colour, blue if the room already leans cold. The body stays the same: only the hands change.
It hangs on an ordinary wall hook. Runs on one AA battery, not included.
