About us
Built for my own rig, before it was built for yours
My name is Salvatore Palella. FPS Italia started in 2022, but the idea had been going round my head long before that.
It did not start as a company. It started because I needed a handbrake and a sequential shifter for my own rig, and nothing I could find convinced me. So I built one. Then someone saw it, wanted one too, and from there it became a job.
Since then more than 1,500 orders have gone out, to 14 countries.
That is not a nice anecdote for an about page: it is the reason that, when you write, you get an answer from the person who builds the parts. There is no support desk passing your question along — there is me.
It is never finished
From 2022 to today there has never been a “final” version. Every time we spot room for improvement — or a small problem nobody had noticed — we act on it.
- How and from whom we buy materials, for more consistent components.
- Product quality, part by part.
- Support, which is the part you only see when something goes wrong.
How an order is made, today
The biggest difference from the early days is that making an order no longer depends on how the day is going: there is a standardised process, the same for every order. It does two things, in this order: it cuts mistakes and it raises the quality of what reaches your door.
Every product is checked at least three times, at different stages of the build. Not at the end, when fixing it costs dearly and it is tempting to let it slide: during.
Where we are
FPS Italia is in Lanciano, Abruzzo. Products are assembled in Italy, with imported metal components.
If you are unsure, write before you buy
If you are not sure about compatibility with your wheel or console, message us on WhatsApp before ordering. We answer ourselves, and we would rather lose a sale than send you the wrong part.
